Jayme Hinshaw will attempt to make the first defense of her atomweight title on July 21 when she battles Bi Nguyen at the ‘King of the Cage: Perennial’ event. The fight will be a rematch from a February 2017 encounter which was won by Nguyen via split decision.
Hinshaw (3-3) won the belt at the ‘KOTC: Unstoppable 2’ event last November, earning the fourth-round submission win over Canada’s Melissa Karagianis. The 28-year-old now looks to avenge one of her more recent losses in Nguyen.
Nguyen (4-2) is coming off a decision win over Cassie Robb at this past February’s ‘KOTC: Prevail’ event. The 28-year-old Jackson-Wink MMA standout, also known as “Killer Bee”, is confident she has what it takes to beat Hinshaw again, this time for the belt.
‘King of the Cage: Perennial’ takes place on July 21 from the Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio, Colorado, United States. The event begins at 6pm EST, live streaming details will be announced closer to the time.
