Undefeated Janaisa Morandin will finally make her Invicta FC 25 debut on August 31 to take on fellow Brazilian, Livia Souza,at Invicta FC 25. Having previously competed as an atomweight, Morandin will be moving up to strawweight for this fight.
Souza (10-1) was originally scheduled to face Jodie Esquibel, however Esquibel had to drop out due to an injury. Souza has won ten of her last eleven, with seven first-round finishes. She has been compared to UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, thanks to her knockout power and quick finishes.
Morandin (9-0) was scheduled to make her Invicta FC debut against Jinh Yu Frey in March. However, the Brazilian missed weight, resulting in Frey deciding to withdraw from the fight rather than accept a catchweight. Morandin is also a finisher, with six of her nine victories coming by way of submissions and knockouts.
Invicta FC 25 takes place on 31 August from the Tachi Palace in Lemoore, California, United States.
