Invicta FC signs strawweight prospect Jessica Delboni

Invicta Fighting Championships has announced a big pickup for their atomweight division. Unbeaten Brazilian prospect Jessica Delboni will be joining the Invicta roster, possibly debuting sometime in the coming months.

Jessica Delboni last competed on April 7th at Imortal FC 8, where she picked up a unanimous decision over countrywoman Liana Ferreira Pirosin. The win pushed Delboni’s unbeaten record to 7-0-0, with five of the triumphs going the distance. The win over Pirosin was enough for a call up to Invicta. Delboni has made her name at strawweight but will be dropping ten pounds to try her luck in the Invicta cage.

The Parana Vale Tudo prospect trains alongside the likes of UFC contender Jessica Andrade, RIZIN Super Atomweight GP Semi-Finalist Maria “Neta” Oliveira and flyweight star Isabelly Varela just to name a few. Her biggest wins to date are over the previously mentioned Pirosin, the always tough Bianca Sattelmayer and teammate Joice Mara.

  1. Sounds like a welcome addition. I wonder if Amanda Nunes helped to bring her on. Would like to see her against also undefeated Minna Grusander or Julia Jones to see whose 0 is going to go.

    1. Would love the Jones fight. The division is so thin that the winner could get a shot at the vacant belt. I want to see Grusander against a top five opponent next personally.
