Invicta FC featherweight star Leah Letson has declared that she is ready and willing to fight Cris Cyborg at the upcoming UFC 214 pay-per-view event in Anaheim.
UFC president Dana White recently confirmed that Cyborg will compete at UFC 214, however he says they are still working on finding an opponent for the number-one featherweight fighter in the world.
Letson (4-1) tells WMMA Rankings that she “would for sure” accept a fight against the powerful Brazilian at the event.
The 24-year-old, also known as “Nidas”, would certainly be a legit challenger for Cyborg. Unlike many opponents who the UFC are attempting to offer the fight to, she is a woman who has actually competed in the featherweight division and is currently one of the highest ranked stars in the division according to many media outlets.
Letson doesn’t just TKO opponents, she knocks out her opponents. In fact, she is coming off an impressive first-round knockout victory over former UFC bantamweight Elizabeth Phillips, following a devastating head kick.
UFC 214 takes place July 29 at Honda Center in Anaheim. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.
