Katharina Lehner’s upcoming bout against Clara Ricignuolo at the Innferno FC scheduled on Oct. 5 in Austria has been scratched, after Lehner dislocated her elbow, tore two forearm ligament tears under the elbow and damaged her bicep during routine wrestling techniques on Thursday.
Lehner will have surgery on Wednesday to repair the two torn ligaments, and it’ll take up to six weeks until she can move her forearm. She said she will be out for at least four months.
Lehner dislocated her elbow during a hip toss drill at Combat Club Cologne, when a gym member landed on her arm.
The German will be out for at least four months, and aims to return back into the cage action once she’s cleared to train again, she said.
Lehner’s last fight resulted into a loss to Lisa Spangler (4-0) back in June at Invicta FC 35 via unanimous decision, her next bout would most likely be under the Invicta FC banner, she said.
