Invicta FC 27: Kianzad vs. Kaufman | This Saturday at 8pm ET, LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS

Invicta FC 27 takes place this Saturday (January 13) from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. The entire event will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass from 8pm ET.

Sarah Kaufman is hoping to make her way back into the UFC.

In the main event, Sarah Kaufman will make her promotional debut to battle Sweden’s Pannie Kianzad.

Kaufman (18-4) is a former UFC and Strikeforce veteran who owns notable victories over some of the best fighters in the world including Miesha Tate, Liz Carmouche, Leslie Smith and Roxanne Modafferi. She was cut from the UFC in 2015, following a two-fight losing skid against top-ranked talent, Alexis Davis and Valentina Shevchenko. However, she rebounded last March, picking up a unanimous decision win over Jessica-Rose Clark at the Battlefield Fighting Championships event. The 32-year-old feels as though she was unfairly cut from the UFC and hopes to work her way back into the organization by putting on a dominant performance this Saturday.

Kianzad (8-2) looks to rebound from a two fight losing-skid, after being stopped by Tonya Evinger and Raquel Pa’aluhi. She owns notable wins over Lina Lansberg and Jessica-Rose Clark. The 26-year-old hopes to make a statement to the MMA world on Saturday by taking out a veteran of the sport in Kaufman and putting herself closer to a future UFC opportunity.
