Yana Kunitskaya will headline this Thursday’s Invicta FC 25 event when she battles Raquel Pa’aluhi for the vacant bantamweight title.
Kunitskaya (9-3, 1 NC) submitted Tonya Evinger for the bantamweight title last December, however the victory was overturned to a no-contest due to a referee error. The pair rematched in March, with Kunitskaya being submitted in the second round by way of a rear-naked choke. The 27-year-old Russian now looks to rebound from the loss and reclaim something she once had. She has finished eight of her nine career wins, six of which are first round knockouts.
Ahead of Thursday’s event, take a look back at Yana Kunitskaya’s 34-second victory over Cindy Dandois. The pair fought at the M-1 Challenge 22 event back in December 2010.
Invicta FC 25 takes place this Thursday August 31 from the Tachi Palace in Lemoore, California. The event will be aired live on UFC Fight Pass from 8pm ET.
