It is not surprising after her split-decision loss in Mexico to Alexa Grasso that UFC strawweight fighter Randa Markos (8-6-1) went into her most recent fight at UFC Fight Night 137 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, against Marina Rodriguez thinking that she didn’t want to go to a decision in her opponent’s backyard.
As things turned out, the fight went to a decision, and while the result this time was a majority draw, Markos is still less than enthused about the result.
When asked if she had again suffered from a reverse case of “home cooking”, Markos replied:
“Definitely,” Markos told MMAjunkie. “I’ve been through that before. I completely dominated the first round, and every time we were inside, I was throwing uppercuts to her face over and over and over. “She’s a tough chick, though– 11-0, in the UFC, and I get to welcome her.”
Markos posted the following on her Instagram page:
