ICYMI: Macy Chiasson replaces Leah Letson at UFC Ottawa against Sarah Moras

TUF 28 winner Macy Chiasson (4-0) has stepped in on short notice to face Sarah Moras at UFC Ottawa on May 4.

Moras (5-4) was originally scheduled to face TUF 28 contestant Leah Letson (5-1)– no reason was given for the change of opponent.

Moras is will enter the bout looking to snap a two-fight skid with losses to Lucie Pudilova and Talita Bernardo.

Chiasson enters the bout looking to keep her unbeaten record intact. After winning TUF 28 at featherweight, she made her bantamweight debut with a first round KO win over Gina Mazany at UFC 235.

    1. This is such an unfair fight: and Sarah’s back is probably against the wall for staying in the UFC ! This could almost like Valentina vs Caccheiro (sp) ? Haven’t heard anything new about Vieira, but I will check with my sources :).

  1. I think this is a good matchup. Not all matchups have to be fair besides they are both in the same weight class and so anybody should fight anybody . I fully support the matchmaking if UFC wants to help brighten Macy’s Star by giving her a losing opponent and in effect sacrifice Sarah. I like Moras but she’s not going to be contending for a belt and she’s kind of a part-time fighter anyway

    1. She’s part-time because that’s all she can afford to be financially. She’s indicated as much, was begging for sponsors at one point. She also had some injuries for a time in last 3 years. Also, for a while there, they just were never offering her fights.
