Third time’s the charm– Helena Kolesnyk (5-0) will now face Pam Sorenson (5-2) at Invicta FC 24 in a featherweight clash. Kolesnyk was scheduled to make her Invicta debut in a headlining featherweight championship affair against Megan Anderson at Invicta FC 24. Things changed though when Anderson signed with the UFC to fight Cris Cyborg at UFC 214. Kolesnyk was then rescheduled to take on Tonya Evinger– however, that fight was later scrapped due to Evinger signing with the UFC and replacing Megan Anderson against Cris Cyborg. Fortunately, Invicta was able to find a third replacement for Kolesnyk– who will now meet Pam “Bam” Sorenson.
Pam Sorenson last fought at Invicta FC 23, losing a split-decision to Ediane Gomes. Prior to the fight with Gomes, Sorenson rode a three-fight win streak.
Invicta FC 24 takes place July 15th at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. It will be available for viewing on UFC Fight Pass.
