Heather Hardy: “Fighting means fighting when you don’t want to fight anymore”

Heather “The Heat” Hardy (1-1 MMA) makes a return to the Bellator cage on Friday when she takes on heated rival Ana Julaton (2-3 MMA).

Ahead of the bout, Hardy sits down with The Player’s Tribune to give insight on her not being sorry she’s a girl, pay in boxing and MMA, her boxing debut, and more.

Heather Hardy won her professional MMA debut under the Bellator banner in June of 2017. She TKO’d Alice Yauger at Bellator 180 in the third round. In October of 2017, Hardy returned for her sophomore MMA appearance at Bellator 185, where she was TKO’d via doctor stoppage in the second round by Kristina Williams.

“The Heat” isn’t one to let a loss stop her– “I know that I’m not the best fighter, I know I’m not the smartest fighter, I know I’m not the most technical fighter– but I swear to God, I am the toughest fighter there is. I promise you guys I will never quit without giving it everything I have.”

Are you excited for Hardy vs Julaton?
