Hannah Cifers replaces Melissa Gatto, steps in to face Mariya Agapova

First reported by Combate, just two weeks removed from her last fight, Hannah Cifers will be stepping in as a short notice replacement for this Saturday’s Fight Night card.

Due to visa issues, Melissa Gatto (6-0-2) has been forced out of her UFC debut Saturday. She was scheduled to face fellow debutante Mariya Agapova (8-1).

Cifers (10-5) will be stepping in as the short-notice replacement. “Shockwave” currently rides a two-fight skid, following losses to Angela Hill and Mackenzie Dern. She holds UFC wins over Polyana Viana and Jodie Esquibel.

After facing the first pro loss of her career to Tracy Cortez on the Contender Series in 2019, Agapova scored back-to-back wins in Invicta.

  1. That’s kinda crazy ! Cifers is basically an atomweight fighting at 115, she’s on a 2-fight losing streak, and now she’s gonna fight a 125er ! ? Hopefully, Dana won’t release her !
