An exciting bantamweight battle has been made official for UFC Fight Night 139 in Denver, Colorado, on November 10th.
“The Iron Lady” Germaine de Randamie will return to action to take on former title challenger Raquel “Rocky” Pennington.
De Randamie was last seen in action at UFC 208 in February of last year— winning a highly controversial decision over Holly Holm to become the inaugural women’s featherweight champion. Months later, GDR relinquished the title to return to the bantamweight division. Over the past year she has been plagued from injuries, causing her to withdraw from respective bouts with Marion Reneau and Ketlen Vieira.
After more than a year away from the cage due to a leg injury, “Rocky” returned to action in the main event of UFC 224 in Brazil in an attempt to dethrone Amanda Nunes. Unsuccessful in doing so, Pennington will look for a quick turnaround and a chance to stay in title contention versus GDR.
Who will you be rooting for?
