Gabrielle Holloway VS Amanda Bell set for February 4th in a pivotal featherweight clash

Gabrielle “Gabanator” Holloway and Amanda “The Lady Killer” Bell are set to clash in what will be a pivotal fight in the 145lb women’s featherweight division. The fight will take place on February 4th 2017 at King of the Cage: Heavy Trauma. It will be a chance for both ladies to make a statement, with the recent news that UFC will be opening up a 145lb division.

Former Bellator star, Gabrielle Holloway has no intention of leaving this fight in the hands of the judges

Holloway (5-4-0) is currently the number 8 ranked featherweight fighter in the world according to the Women’s MMA World Rankings and the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings. She is coming off a narrow split decision loss to the number 7 ranked Arlene Blencowe back at Bellator 146. She’s fought the best featherweights in the world including Julia Budd and Latoya Walker. The “Gabanator” has shown a very well-rounded game owning wins via TKO and rear-naked-choke’s. With three out of her four last fights being close decision losses against top competition, you can bet Holloway will be looking for a finish in this fight and with the recent UFC announcement she’s now more hungry than ever. She previously finished as an amateur with an impressive 7-0 record. In her entire MMA career, Holloway has never been finished.

Bell will be looking to rebound after two straight losses.

Bell (3-4-0) is currently on a two fight losing streak, with her most recent loss being to the number 5 ranked featherweight in the world Megan Anderson back in May of this year. “The Lady Killer” enjoys finishing her opponents, all her victories have been via finishes which include TKO’s, KO’s and rear-naked-choke’s. She doesn’t just TKO opponents, she flat out knocks opponents out as shown in her August 2014 fight against Ronda Rousey’s teammate Marina Shafir. She previously finished as an amateur with an impressive 6-1 record, which includes four first round finishes. A big win over number 8 ranked Holloway would no doubt put her back into the rankings and make a statement to the UFC.

One thing is for sure, judging by these ladies track records, we are in for a fast paced fight with the high possibility of a potential finish.

Gabrielle Holloway will take on Amanda Bell on February 4th 2017 at King of the Cage: Heavy Trauma. The event takes place from the Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, Oregon, United States.
