Gabi Garcia is hoping to compete in a super-fight before the end of the year, the undefeated Brazilian is hoping to fight King Reina in a special “welterweight vs heavyweight” openweight contest at RIZIN Fighting Federation’s December event.
Garcia and Reina have been extremely dominant in their respective divisions. Garcia is currently the number-one ranked female heavyweight fighter in the world, with the undefeated record of 4-0, 1 NC. Meanwhile, Reina is ranked the number-one female welterweight fighter in the world, with the undefeated record of 6-0.
Garcia spoke about her desire to fight King Reina during a recent chat with WMMA Rankings.
“I am starting my diet for my next fight, I’m hungry to enter the ring and I hope King Reina will accept to fight me. She has beat Lei’D Tapa, who I beat in my first MMA fight. She also submitted Jazzy Gabert. I think now is my time, this is the fight i need.” Garcia said.
Before Reina can get to Gabi, she’ll be competing at next week’s RIZIN Fighting Federation event when she battles Crystal Stokes. A victory for Reina could mean she’ll be facing Gabi Garcia at RIZIN’s annual year-end event, the organization’s biggest and most grand event of the year.
