Garcia (4-0, 1 NC) is the number-one heavyweight in the world. She has been hailed as a pioneer of the sport, thanks to helping bring mainstream attention to female heavyweight competitors in combat sports. She has a 100% finish rate, owning victories of top contenders Destanie Yarbrough, Lei’D Tapa and Anna Maliukova. Other contenders in the division include Jazzy Gabert, Erica Grover and Kate Bloomfield.
Standing at 6’5”, Katya Kavaleva is a seasoned heavyweight champion in Karate, Kickboxing and Taekwondo. In 2015 she won a gold medal at the World Kickboxing Championships. Born in Belarus, Kavaleva now lives in South Florida and trains at Combat Club MMA. She previously trained at the Blackzillians, however several of the team’s members left for Combat Club, Kavaleva was one of them, along with Anthony Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Rashad Evans.
