Heavyweight superstar Gabi Garcia is set to return to action this month and will compete in both Shootboxing and MMA.
Garcia will make her Shootboxing debut on 7th July when she battles Megumi Yabushita at Shoot Boxing Girl’s S-Cup 2017. Shootboxing is a combat sport which allows kicks, punches, knees, elbows, throws, and standing submissions.
The Brazilian will then make her return to MMA, the sport she is most known for, when she battles a yet to be announced opponent at RIZIN Fighting Federation 6 on 30th July.
Garcia (4-0-0) is currently the number one heavyweight fighter in the world when it comes to MMA. She’s finished many of the divisions top contenders including Lei’D Tapa, Anna Maliukova and Destanie Yarbrough. She was a 10x BJJ World Champion prior to making the move to MMA. At 6’2 and well over 200-pounds, the 31-year-old believes she is the baddest woman on the planet.
Back in May, the 31-year-old teased the introduction of a championship belt for her division. Speaking on social media, the undefeated Brazilian said “I living for this! Dreams come true! I need this
@rizin_PR belt!“. She followed up with “I’m going to dedicate my life to this belt being mine”.
