Gabi Garcia: “Rena Kubota is the best MMA fighter in Japan”

Rena Kubota will compete in the biggest fight of her career tonight when she battles Andy Nguyen in the main event of the ‘RIZIN 2017 in Fukuoka’ event. The fight will serve as a first-round bout in the eight-woman super atomweight tournament, the organization’s first ever female tournament.

Garcia hails Rena Kubota as the best MMA fighter to come out of Japan.

Kubota (4-0) is undefeated in mixed martial arts competition, as well as earning an impressive 23 victories in the sport of shootboxing. The 26-year-old is by far one of Japan’s most popular MMA stars and one woman who appears to be a big fan is the number-one heavyweight fighter in the world, Gabi Garcia. The Brazilian recently gave her predictions for tonight’s event and was full of praise when speaking about Kubota.

Rena [Kubota] for me is the best MMA fighter in Japan. She’s beautiful, very nice girl, and I love watching her fights. Keep your eye on this girl” Garcia said.

Kubota has a 100% finish rate in MMA, two knockouts and two submissions. Her most notable victories in the sport of shootboxing come over Seo Hee Ham and Saori Ishioka.
