Gabi Garcia and King Reina will both compete in MMA fights at the RIZIN Fighting Federation year-end event, taking place on December 29 and 31. The exact date and opponents have not yet been announced.
Garcia (4-0, 1 NC) is the number-one ranked female heavyweight fighter in the world. The Brazilian will be looking to rebound from back-to-back no contests against Oxana Gagloeva, as well as Megumi Yabushita in a shootboxing bout. She owns notable stoppage victories over Lei’D Tapa and Destanie Yarbrough.
Reina (7-0) is the number-one ranked women’s welterweight fighter in the world. Since making her professional debut in November 2016, the 21-year-old has remained very active, picking up notable victories over the likes of Shayna Baszler, Kristin Handel, Crystal Stokes, as well as the much larger heavyweight competitors in Lei’D Tapa and Jazzy Gabert.
The event will also feature the semi-final and final match-ups in the super atomweight grandprix tournament. Including Rena Kubota VS Irene Cabello and Maria Oliveira VS Kanna Asakura.
“RIZIN Fighting World Grand Prix 2017: Final Round” takes place on December 29 and 31 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event will be aired worldwide, live on pay-per-view.
