Gabby Holloway has spoken out about why she believes Bellator MMA has the best featherweight division in women’s MMA.
Holloway (6-5-0), the number-nine ranked women’s featherweight fighter in the world, revealed her thoughts on the organization she fights for during a recent chat with WMMA Rankings.
“Fighting for Bellator means that all of the hard work we have put in is paying off and is not going unnoticed. Bellator has the top featherweight division for the simple fact they have a variety of skilled fighters who bring different styles and personalities to the cage. Bellator showcases the true solid featherweights who belong at 145 pounds.” Holloway explained.
The 27-year-old is coming off a stunning second-round knockout victory over heavy favorite, Alexis Dufresne. Holloway says that although she was happy with the win, she won’t feel content until she wins the Bellator MMA featherweight title, currently held by Julia Budd.
“I’m happy with that victory. There’s always room for improvements. The turning point in my career will be when I have the title.” Holloway said.
