On August 30th, The Ultimate Fighter will return to television for it’s twenty-sixth season to deliver fight fans a combination of mixed martial arts action and reality television drama. This season’s coaches Eddie Alvarez (28-5) and Justin Gaethje (18-0) will look to guide female flyweight stars toward the inaugural (and long-awaited) UFC flyweight championship.
Prior to TUF 26’s premiere, WMMA Rankings will be analyzing each flyweight hopeful. Scroll down to learn more about more about Melinda Fabian!
Fighting out of Hungary’s Budapest Top Team, Melinda Fabian enters the TUF house with a record of 4-3-1. All four of Fabian’s victories come by way of submission. Two of her three losses come from current UFC bantamweights Lucie Pudilova (split-decision) and Katlyn Chookagian (arm bar).
Fabian is only two years into her professional career. Her first two pro fights took place on the same night– she competed in a tournament for PMMAL – Hungarian Fight Championship 9. She defeated Barbora Polakova via submission to advance to the finals where she lost to the aforementioned Chookagian by submission.
