This past Friday, Bellator MMA confirmed the signing of six new women to their 125-pound flyweight roster. One of the names which has been announced is 34-year-old Kristi Lopez also known as “Loba”.
Lopez (2-0-0) will be a familiar name to UFC fans, she competed on The Ultimate Fighter 23, losing a decision to JJ Aldrich in the preliminary fights. The last time she fought as a professional was almost three years ago, to which she enjoyed great success. As a pro she has yet to taste defeat, picking up a split decision victory over Tyra Parker back in January 2014. She followed up by knocking out Katie Castro in July 2014. “Loba” feels as though she has improved as a fighter during her long layoff and looks forward to showing the Bellator MMA audience her evolved skill-set in the near future. The 34-year-old fights out of Hollywood and currently trains at Legends MMA, along with several notable fighters including UFC star Alan Jouban. She plans to keep her undefeated record going and hopes to become the Bellator MMA 125-pound flyweight world champion.
