Felice Herrig receives potential six month medical suspension

On Sunday night in Oklahoma City, Felice Herrig (13-6) extended her win-streak to three by handing Justine Kish (6-1) the first loss of her professional career.

Herrig looked as sharp as ever. She used crisp combinations on the feet to set up takedowns. Once the fight was on the ground, Herrig controlled positions with effective ground and pound and slick BJJ transitions.

MMAJunkie.com reported a list of medical suspensions from UFC Fight Night 112. Justine Kish received the standard “30 day suspension, 21 days no contact,” however, Herrig received a much lengthier one:

Felice Herrig: suspended 180 days due to a possible left-wrist injury, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, 30 days with no contact for 21 days for precautionary reasons

What did you think of Herrig’s performance?
