A women’s featherweight fight between Leslie Smith and Jessy Miele has been set for the Bellator 241 event on March 13.
Smith (11-8-1) looks to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Arlene Blencowe at the Bellator 233 event last November. Prior to the defeat, Smith was successful in her promotional debut having picked up a majority decision win over Sinead Kavanagh. Also known as ‘The Peacemaker’, Smith is a veteran of the sport who has been competing as a mixed martial artist since 2009. The 37-year-old has previously fought for the UFC and Invicta FC, before signing with Bellator last year.
Miele (9-3-0) is on an impressive four-fight win streak and coming off a successful promotional debut in which she picked up the decision victory over former title challenger, Talita Nogueira, at this past October’s Bellator 231 event. Also known as ‘The Widowmaker’, the 34-year-old has shown significant improvements to her MMA game over the last few years and looks to continue showcasing them by making a statement against a veteran in Smith.
Bellator 241 takes place on Friday March 13, 2020, from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, United States.
