A flyweight contest between Emily Ducote and Veta Arteaga has been added to the Bellator 202 event on July 13.
Ducote (6-4) looks to rebound from a two-fight losing streak after failing to capture the flyweight title from Ilima-Lei Macfarlane last November and then losing a controversial split decision to Kristina Williams this past March. The 24-year-old, also known as “Gordinha”, is considered one of the organization’s top stars and owns notable promotional victories over Jessica Middleton, Katy Collins, Bruna Vargas and Kenya Miranda.
Arteaga (3-2) looks to rebound from a split decision loss of her own, after coming up short to Bruna Ellen last August. The 30-year-old’s promotional victories come against Jackie Vandenburgh and Brooke Mayo.
Bellator 202 takes place on July 13 from the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma, United States. The main card will be aired on Paramount Network from 9pm EST.
