This past Sunday at RIZIN FF 6, a highly anticipated women’s heavyweight fight between Gabi Garcia and Oxana Gagloeva ended in a no-contest. Garcia landed an accidental eye poke in the first round, Gagloeva had five minutes to recover but refused to continue.
Yarbrough, the number-two ranked heavyweight fighter in the world, feels as though Gagloeva should have continued and was looking for a “way out”.
“If she really wanted to fight she would’ve continued. I feel it was her way out.” Yarbrough said. “I don’t know what happened to her mentally but I felt she should’ve continued” she continued.
Following the incident, Gagloeva took to social media to blast the RIZIN FF organization, as well as Gabi Garcia. The Brazilian responded, branding Gagloeva a ‘coward’ and a ‘p**sy’ and claiming doctors said she was was fit to fight.
