DEEP JEWELS 19 results: Mina Kurobe defeats Satomi Takano via unanimous decision, retains atomweight title

Saturday at the DEEP JEWELS 19 event, Mina Kurobe successfully retained her atomweight title after earning herself a unanimous decision over Satomi Takano.

40-year-old Mina Kurobe is the number-two ranked atomweight fighter in the world.

Kurobe improves her record to 12-3-0. She has won six of her last seven, with the one loss coming to reigning ROAD FC atomweight champion, Seo Hee Ham. The 40-year-old is the number-two ranked atomweight fighter in the world, according to the WMMA World Rankings. She won the DEEP JEWELS atomweight belt in February 2017 after earning a unanimous decision over Naho Sugiyama.
