DEEP JEWELS 19 results: King Reina defeats So Young Park via first-round submission

Saturday at the DEEP JEWELS 19 event, King Reina made a successful return to the cage submitting So Young Park quickly in the very first-round by way of a keylock.

Reina is the number-two women’s lightweight fighter in the world.

Reina improves her record to 8-1-0. She is currently the number-two ranked women’s lightweight fighter in the world, successfully rebounding from  split decision loss to Cindy Dandois at this past December’s RIZIN FF event. The 21-year-old owns notable stoppage victories over Young Ji Kim, Kristin Handel and Jazzy Gabert. She has also picked up dominant unanimous decision wins over Shayna Baszler, Lei’D Tapa and Crystal Stokes.

Park begins her professional MMA career with a 0-1-0 record, following a successful amateur fight in which she knocked out Ja Hee Kim in the second-round. She trains at the Gumi MMA gym in South Korea.
