DEEP JEWELS 15: Emi Tomimatsu victorious via unanimous decision

Saturday night at DEEP JEWELS 15, Emi Tomimatsu picked up the unanimous decision win over Pan Hui.

Tomimatsu takes out highly touted prospect, Pan Hui.

The fight largely saw Tomimatsu use her superior grappling skills to her advantage, out-pointing Pan Hui on the judges scorecards.

Tomimatsu improves her record to 12-12-0, successfully rebounding from a two-fight losing streak which saw her lose fights against high-ranked talent Naho Sugiyama and Tomo Maesawa. Prior to this she was on a three-fight winning streak, which includes two submissions. She is currently the number nine ranked atomweight fighter in the world.

Meanwhile, Hui falls down to 3-2-0, snapping a two-fight winning streak which saw her pick up unanimous decision wins over Real Date and Yuko Kiryu.

DEEP JEWELS 15 took place from the Shinjuku Face Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The event was headlined by an atomweight championship fight which saw Mina Kurobe defeat the number two ranked atomweight in the world, Naho Sugiyama, to become the atomweight champion.
