This Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 124 early preliminary card features an exciting strawweight bout when Danielle “Dynamite” Taylor battles JJ Aldrich.
Taylor (9-2) will be looking to build on her two-fight win streak which has seen her earn decisions over Seo Hee Ham and Jessica Penne. The 28-year-old, who trains at the Saekson’s Muay Thai in California, has only sole once in the UFC, a split decision to Maryna Moroz in her short-notice promotional debut back in 2016. Prior to joining the organization, she was the King of the Cage strawweight champion.
Aldrich (5-2) is 1-1 in her UFC run, losing a decision to Juliana Lima but then earning her own decision win over Chan-Mi Jeon. Back in 2016, the 25-year-old was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 23 and was coached by former UFC strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Despite being one of the favorites to win the show, she was eliminated early on by eventual winner, Tatiana Suarez.
UFC Fight Night 124 takes place this Sunday January 14 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The early prelims featuring Taylor vs. Aldrich will be aired live on UFC Fight Pass from 6pm ET.
