Cris Cyborg will be a part of the UFC 214 lineup according to UFC president Dana White.
“Cris ‘Cyborg’ is definitely fighting on the July 29 card in Anaheim,” White told the “UFC Unfiltered” podcast. However, when asked about an opponent, White said, “We’re still working on it.”
The Brazilian had recently been campaigning for a fight with Invicta FC featherweight champion Anderson (8-2) at UFC 214. However, Anderson was recently booked for a Invicta FC 24 headliner opposite challenger Helena Kolesnyk (5-0). Additionally, a potential fight with recently crowd UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie (7-3) is also out of the question, after De Randamie’s manager revealed that she refuses to accept the fight. De Randamie herself later revealed that she is planning a move back down to bantamweight.
UFC 214 takes place July 29 at Honda Center in Anaheim. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.
