Dana White confirms Miesha Tate’s new UFC job, post-retirement

Following her loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205, Miesha Tate announced she will be retiring from MMA competition, however she’s still going to be working for the UFC.

Tate will be taking a role as an analyst for Fox Sports, the UFC’s television partner in America.

UFC president Dana White has revealed in a interview with The Fight Network, that Tate will be taking a role as an analyst for Fox Sports, the UFC’s television partner in America.

Tate, recently revealed that she was hoping for a job at Fox “I’ve just transitioned to more of promoting events and I still want to be involved. Actually, you may see more of me now,” she said during a media scrum at UFC Fight Night 101. “I’m really happy right now. I’m enjoying life and seeing the world, it looks like something will come to fruition with Fox at some point. So I’ll just kind of see how that all unfolds”. It appears that Tate’s fox sports ambitions will now indeed be happening.

Meanwhile, Miesha Tate is preparing for an upcoming bout, as tonight she will take on Jessica Eye at Submission Underground 2 in a submission only grappling fight. Jessica Eye believes she will take the victory and is ready to show the world her new and improved grappling game. The bout will air live on FloGrappling.com tonight, at 2:30 p.m PT, 5:30 p.m EST.

  1. Cupcake needs to stick with “grappling” and stay away from full contact MMA. Her skills have diminished in the stand up part of MMA. The other competitors are stronger, faster, more destructive with their striking. Plus Meisha is way to gorgeous to get her mug turned into ground meat….

  2. Meisha would be a great part of the fox sports team, but with the up and comming contract negotiations between the UFC and other media organizations…she could end up being left out in the cold if fox looses the UFC.
