Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm will attempt to become the first female fighter to hold two UFC world titles in two different weight-classes, and she’ll get to do it in the main event of UFC 208.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the news in an interview earlier today with FOX 5 New York.
Former boxing world champion Holly Holm will face a very dangerous striker, Germaine De Randamie in a five round title fight. Both women like to keep the fight standing and avoid the ground at all costs. De Randamie was a former competitor in Muay-Thai, finishing undefeated. She has never lost a fight from stand-up strikes, with all her opponents rushing to get her to the ground. The ladies will be fighting to crown the inaugural UFC 145lb featherweight champion.
UFC 208 takes place on February 11th 2017 in Brooklyn, New York.
