Conor McGregor on Ronda Rousey’s WWE move: “I’m delighted for her, she’s a pioneer of the game. I was very happy to see her”

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has reacted to the news of former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey signing a full-time contract with the WWE.

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut this past Sunday.

Rousey made her WWE debut at last Sunday’s Royal Rumble event and has been a trending topic all week. McGregor says he is very happy for Rousey, crediting her for being a pioneer of MMA.

I’m delighted for her. Absolutely over the moon for her. She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event. And I was very happy to see her. She’s a pioneer for the game. She’s came through it all and faced big wins and big losses and she came through it. It’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in the WWE. I know she’s been a big fan all her life, so it’s great to see that.” McGregor said.

Rousey has revealed that she plans to make professional wrestling her life for the foreseeable future and says it is something she has wanted to do since she was a child. Meanwhile, WWE exec Paul Levesque has stated that Rousey is fitting in very well and believes “this is where she should have been her whole life”.
