Combate Estrellas 1 weigh-in results: Amanda Serrano’s highly anticipated MMA debut is made official

Amanda Serrano makes her highly anticipated professional MMA debut at this Friday’s Combate Estrellas 1 event when she takes on Corina Herrera in a flyweight showdown.

Amanda Serrano is a highly accomplished competitor in the sport of professional boxing.

Serrano (0-0) is a multiple-time boxing world champion. The 29-year-old owns an impressive 35-1-1 record in professional boxing, including 26 knockout victories. She is considered by many to be one of the best pound-for-pound female boxers in the world. The Puerto Rican has won a number of world titles in multiple weight-classes including the WBO lightweight, featherweight, super bantamweight and bantamweight titles, as well as the WBC, IBF super featherweight belts.

Herrera (3-4) looks to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Jaymee Nievera at the Bellator 183 event this past September. She has lost four of her last five with the one victory being a unanimous decision over Erica Gonzalez in 2016.

Combate Estrellas 1 takes place this Friday April 13 from The Shrine in Los Angeles, California, United States. The main card featuring Serrano vs. Herrera will be aired live on Univision and Univision Deportes from 12am (midnight) EST, 9pm PST.
