Check out the Invicta FC 33 card– headlined by Jinh Yu Frey vs Minna Grusander 2

An atomweight title rematch is set to headline Invicta’s final card of the year on Dec. 15 in Kansas City, Mo.

Officials announced on Wednesday that champ Jinh Yu Frey will be facing Finland’s Minna Grusander in a rematch. Frey captured the vacant atomweight belt over Grusander with a controversial decsion win in July at Invicta FC 30.

The initial affair was closely contested and arguments were made on both sides about why they should have won. Post-fight, Frey and her team accused Grusander of a purposely coming into the cage with body odor to distract Frey. Grusander and her team scoffed at the accusations, calling them “disgraceful”.

Several other bouts were also announced for the card, including the debut of two former UFC strawweights. Check out the line-up, so far.

  1. Besides the headliner, I’m probably most interested in Amber Brown vs Alesha Zappitella. I like both fighters, but am especially partial to Alesha. I’ll be interested in seeing how Danielle, Kanako and Jamie do in their new home. I’m not familiar with their opponents except that Ruiz has a great record.

    1. I agree, JR! I was an instant fan of Zapitella after her first appearance. I think has a ton of potential and cant wait to see how she shows up.

    2. don’t know anything about Kanako, but her opponent Sharon Dreamcatcher Jacobson is a BEAST ! If Kanako is supposed to be someone really good, this will be the upset of the night !
