Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Jodie Esquibel official for #UFCGdansk

First reported by The MMA Kings (@mma_kings) on Twitter and later confirmed by the UFC, former strawweight title challenger and number two ranked contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz will face promotional newcomer Jodie Esquibel at UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland, on October 21.

Kowalkiewicz (10-2) is coming off a first round submission loss to Claudia Gadelha back at UFC 212. The Polish hometown hero will look to work her way back into title contention, starting with a win over Invicta vet Esquibel.

Esquibel (6-2) has competed for Invicta FC six times. In her last fight she defeats TUF 26’s DeAnna Bennet by split-decision.

PHOTOS: UFC and Reebok unveil redesigned “Legacy Series” fight kits

Earlier today, UFC and Reebok unveiled a “holistic update” to Fight Kits that includes new designs for walkout jerseys, hoodies, hats, and in-octagon uniforms.
