Nothing can take the fight out of Heather Hardy, “The Heat” vows to be back

Last Friday at Bellator 185, Kristina Williams handed Heather Hardy the first loss of her professional combat career via second-round doctor stoppage. Williams’ stellar performance left Hardy bruised and bloody, but not broken. Heather Hardy confronted by former foe Shelly Vincent at Bellator weigh-ins

 

 

Heather Hardy makes her way to the scale. She officially weighs in at 126 pounds for her Bellator 185 bout with Kristina Williams. As the Brooklyn-native leaves the scale and walks toward her opponent to face-off for the cameras, a familiar voice begins shouting at her. That voice belongs to none other than Shelly “Shelito’s Way” Vincent (20-1 boxing), a heated former rival of Hardy’s. Vincent makes her way toward Hardy as Bellator officials haul her off. As Vincent is escorted out of the building, she hurls insults at Hardy while Hardy laughs it off and applauds sarcastically. As WMMA continues to evolve, the UFC’s first weight class for women is facing some changes. With the number three ranked contender, Julianna Peña, announcing her pregnancy and several current bantamweight fighters moving to the 125-pound division, the UFC is in need of some top 135-pound talent.
