A women’s flyweight bout will feature on the Bellator 182 main card this Friday when Bruna Ellen takes on Veta Arteaga.
Ellen (3-1) is a 21-year-old from Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, who trains at the Team Nogueira Campinas gym. She competed in her first two professional fights as part of the Max Fight organization, winning both fights in dominant fashion. She was quickly signed by Bellator MMA, losing a unanimous decision to Jessica Middleton at the Bellator 159 event in July 2016. She successfully rebounded in January of this year with a unanimous decision win of her own against Carmella James at Bellator 171. She now looks to build on her victory by taking out one of the toughest contenders in the division, Veta Arteaga.
Arteaga (3-1) is a 29-year-old from Boise, Idaho, who currently trains at the Combat Fitness gym. Following a successful professional debut for Front Street Fights, she was signed by Bellator MMA and has gone 2-1 with the organization. She’s picked up victories over Jackie Vandenburgh and Brooke Mayo, with her sole career loss coming by way of a close split decision to undefeated Anastasia Yankova.
Bellator 182 takes place this Friday August 25 from the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, United States. The main card featuring Ellen VS Arteaga will be aired live on Spike from 9pm ET.
