BREAKING: Tonya Evinger injured, out of fight with Marion Reneau

It looks like Marion Reneau is in need of a new opponent for UFC Fight Night in Austin on Feb. 18.

After a series of cryptic tweets from both Reneau and Evinger alluding to thier bantamweight bout being in jeapordy, Fansided.com has reported that an Evinger injury has forced her out of the fight.

The former long-reigning Invicta FC bantamweight champion, Tonya Evinger, made her UFC debut in July, falling to Cris Cyborg via third round TKO in a bid to capture the featherweight championship.

The 40-year-old Marion Reneau currently rises a three-fight win streak, most recently capped off by a late third-round TKO of short replacement opponent, Talita Bernardo.

Details on Evinger’s inury are yet to come. The promotion will likely look for a replacement opponent, however, no official word has been released by the UFC.
