Breaking: Injury forces Keri Melendez out of Bellator NYC

As first reported by MMAFighting.com moments ago, an undisclosed injury has forced Keri Melendez out of her upcoming Bellator 180 fight with Sadee Monserrate Williams. Image result for keri melendezIn Melendez’ first MMA appearance back in November of last year, she scored an ultra-impressive 47-second TKO win over Sheila Padilla. Unfortunatley for Williams, the promotion will not be looking for a replacement opponent.  Instead, Heather Hardy’s promotional debut against Alice Yauger will be moved up to fill that slot.

Heather Hardy, a popular American boxer from Brooklyn, NY,  signed with the promotion earlier this year. She will now face Alice Yauger on the Spike TV televised portion of the card.

Bellator 180, also known as Bellator NYC, is scheduled to take place in New York City at Madison Square Garden on June 24th.
