37-year-old Filipino-American boxing world champion Ana Julaton has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.
Julaton holds a professional boxing record of 19-4-1, according to BoxRec. She has held the IBA super bantamweight title as well as the WBO super bantamweight championship, twice. In addition to her boxing resume, Julaton is a black belt in Kenpo Karate and Tae Kwan Doe.
The decorated striker is currently 2-2 in MMA, with both of her losses coming by decision. She previously fought for ONE Championship 2014-2015.
“I know I can’t do this forever,” she said. “But I’m 37 and I feel so great. I thought about it and I just felt I didn’t want to pass the opportunity when I was feeling so good. I’m in great shape and I feel so good and I just want to try this.”
Julaton will be competing in Bellator’s already stacked flyweight division.
