A 105-pound atomweight fight between Bi Nguyen and Grace Cleveland has been set for the King of the Cage event on August 5th.
Bi Nguyen (3-1-0) , also known as the “KillHer Bee”, has fast become a fan-favorite of her division thanks to her impressive performances since making her pro debut back in July 2016. She trains out of Jackson-Wink MMA with UFC superstars such as Jon Jones, Holly Holm and Michelle Waterson.
The 27-year-old last competed at King of the Cage Groundbreaking on 6th May, losing out to Andy Nguyen via unanimous decision. The loss marked the first of Bi’s professional career. The fight was a controversial one however, as many fans and fellow fighters feel as though the referee should not have kept standing the fighters up, everytime Bi landed a dominant position on the ground. The Jackson-Wink standout will no doubt be back with a vengeance in August.
Meanwhile, Grace Cleveland (3-0-0), also known as the “Thai Kitten”, is a Muay-Thai specialist who made her MMA debut as an amateur back in 2014. In her second amateur fight she suffered a small set back when she lost via a round two Armbar resulting in the submission. She immediately begun working on her ground game following the loss and showed what a fast learner she is, coming back with three round one submission wins of her own, including Armbars and chokes. She made her pro debut in 2016 and has continued to look unstoppable with dominant victories over Cassie Robb, Stephanie Skinner and Kelly Vilarino.
The August 5th King of the Cage event takes place from the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, Oregon. The event is expected to be aired live on Facebook.
