Bethe Correia returns, meets Irene Aldana at UFC 237

An exciting bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 237 in Brazil on May 11.

The UFC has rebooked former title challenger Bethe “Pitbull” Correia versus Mexican prospect Irene Aldana.

The bantamweight battle was originally set to go down at UFC 227, however, the commission pulled Correia from the bout due to concerns with her eye.

Correia (10-3-1) has been out of action with orbital issues since suffering a head kick KO in her Singapore main event fight versus Holly Holm.

Aldana (9-4) enters the bout on a two-fight streak with wins over Talita Bernardo and Lucie Pudilova. The latter earning FOTN honors.

Who will you be rooting for?

  1. may god protect bethe leading up to this fight. there are pulled muscles but an eye injury? that’s because a jobber former accountant went in with holly holm and was headkicked into outer space, it was a savage mismatch. And poor bethe thought she had a chance. I like her big nose and bigger heart, she is fun to have in the UFC
