Bethe Correia praises Holly Holm in heartfelt post-fight speech

This past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 111, Bethe Correia was brutally knocked out by Holly Holm in the third round following a head kick.

Correia praises Holly Holm for not quitting and hiding after three losses in a row.

Correia (10-3-1) is known for trash talking opponents in the lead up to her fights, however the 33-year-old has decided to take the more humble approach in her post-fight speech.

Speaking on her Instagram page, the “Pitbull” was full of praise for Holly Holm, commending her for coming back after three losses in a row.

I want to congratulate Holly for the fight. Even though she was coming from three losses she didn’t quit and hide, and fought me on the main event” Correia said.

Correia went on to reveal that despite the loss, she managed to achieve her dream of fighting in Asia and vows to come back stronger.

I want to thank all my fans, partners and team. I won’t return with the victory I dreamed of, but I return with my head held high with a dream to fight in Asia realized and being a protagonist of the night. A dream a lot of people have but never realized”.

I can only say this to my fans that like Bethe Correia: I WILL BE BACK STRONGER THAN EVER! YOU CAN BE SURE OF IT” Corriea finished.

UFC Fight Fight 111 took place from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The event was aired live on UFC Fight Pass.

YOU CAN BE SURE OF IT!!!!! 👊🏼😡💪🏼 #betheeffect ##strongwoman #ufcsingapore . . Podem me aguardar!!!!

  1. I love bethe and her self-confidence, despite everything she does, she trusts herself and never gives up, she is like she is, and does not hide from anyone, she has fighters who are the same way she is, but she does not act because she is afraid To be criticized when things go wrong, that’s why I admire bethe, she’s what she is without caring about the opinion of others, at least she has attitude, race, courage, and heart.

    1. I don’t get the race part of your statement. I understand Bethe Correia is from Brazil, but I didn’t know that Brazilian is considered a race. I thought Brazilian simply meant a person is from Brazil just like being American means I am from America. (lol)
