#Bellator190 Results: Alejandra Lara gets submission win in Bellator debut

Tonight at Bellator 190 in Florence, Italy, flyweight standout Lena “Hunter” Ovchynnikova welcomed promotional newcomer Alejandra “Azul” Lara to the Bellator cage. Check out tonight’s results below!

Lena tagged Alejandra early with two big shots from the southpaw stance that caused Lara to clinch. After a Lara takedown both fighters exchanged positions on the ground, both getting time on top. The control by Lena likely stole the round. Lara went for a spinning backfist in the second round that connected. Ovchynnikova went for a head-in-arm throw that gives up her back and allows Lara to control position, likely securing the round for her. A head-in-arm attempt by Lena in the third round gives Lara the the back. Alejandra works some ground and pound and secured the rear naked choke to get the tap in under one minute!

Alejandra Lara def. Lena Ovchynnikova via third-round rear-naked choke submission.

  1. OMG! I will hope to never watch that boring ass eye sore fighting style of Alejandra Lara again. That was just awful to see a fighting style that boring. Bellator already has boring ass Julia Budd, I don’t need to see another one. And Lena Ovchynnikova is just as pathetic in losing to that boring ass Alejandra Lara. Pathetic Bellator just pathetic.

    1. No, I’ve seen enough of that boring ass lay and pray style from Julia Budd, I don’t need to see another in boring ass Alejandra Lara. As for Lena Ovchynnikova, the woman’s first 8 wins all came against fighters who were winless at the time, so she is just another poser until she can start beating fighters who have actual wins under their belt. But Alejandra Lara is so boring.
