Bellator 209 results: A new featherweight contender emerges, undefeated Olga Rubin wins unanimous decision over Cindy Dandois

Olga Rubin picked up her third promotional victory at this week’s Bellator 209 event, defeating Cindy Dandois by way of a unanimous decision (29-27, 30-26, 30-27).

Rubin picks up the biggest win of her career at Bellator 209.

Rubin remains undefeated, improving her record to 5-0-0. The victory is a huge one for Rubin over a woman who is ranked number-four in the WMMA Featherweight World Rankings and owns wins over the likes of Megan Anderson, Marloes Coenen, Jorina Baars, King Reina and Daria Ibragimova.  The 29-year-old will likely see a rise in the world rankings upon the next update. With three consecutive victories under the Bellator MMA banner, the ‘Big Bad’ one is likely a front-runner as the next challenger for Julia Budd’s Bellator featherweight title.

Bellator 209 took place this Thursday November 15 from the Menora Mivtachim in Tel Aviv, Israel from 4pm EST. The event was aired on tape delay via Paramount Network on Friday November 16 at 9pm EST.

  1. Anybody know why the Rubin/Dandois fight wasn’t televised on Paramount as part of the main event? It couldn’t have been worse than the Davis/Dandois fight or could it?
