Bellator 206 results: Arlene Blencowe defeats Amber Leibrock via third-round TKO

Saturday night at the Bellator 206 event, Arlene Blencowe defeated Amber Leibrock by way of a third-round TKO.

Blencowe is ranked the number-six featherweight in the WMMA World Rankings.

Blencowe improves her record to 11-7-0. The Australian is currently ranked number-six in the WMMA World Rankings, and successfully returns to competition following a close split decision loss to featherweight champ, Julia Budd, this past December. The 35-year-old, also known as ‘Angerfirst’, has long been considered one of Bellator’s top 145-pound talents and has won four of her last five, including two first-round knockouts.

Leibrock drops to 3-2. A former Invicta FC veteran who fought for the organization in her first three professional fights before coming over to Bellator MMA earlier this year. The 30-year-old was successful in her promotional debut, picking up the dominant decision win over Janay Harding. She owns notable first-round knockout wins over Ronda Rousey’s teammate, Marina Shafir, and Invicta FC’s Amy Coleman.

Bellator 206 took place Saturday 29 September from the SAP Center in San Jose, California, United States. The preliminary card featuring Blencowe vs. Leibrock was aired live on BELLATOR LIVE from 7pm EST.

  1. no!! i’m rooting for the beautiful Amber . she lost. she is tall and rangy, but not strong or fast. so she is a big target. And not the highest fight IQ either. She can get into patterns which a small fighter can figure out and get inside.

  2. I saw this fight and Amber Liebrock needed to come to the reality of that arm bar attempt was lost once Arlene Blencowe picked her up. Amber Liebrock should have let go of that arm bar attempt and lived to fight another day as the saying goes. But Amber Liebrock, for whatever reason, refused to let go of that arm bar attempt and get basically power bombed to the mat and it was over for her at that point. Fighter IQ
