Tomorrow night in Biloxi, Miss., Bare Knuckle FC will return for it’s second ever event– headlined by former UFC and Invicta vet Bec Rawlings and boxer Britain Hart.
At Bare Knuckle FC 1, Bec Rawlings and Alma Garcia made history in June, taking part in the first-ever sanctioned women’s bare-knuckle bout. “Rowdy” scored the big win with a second-round TKO to start her post-UFC career.
After a win in her debut, Rawlings told MMA Fighting she is feeling “refreshed” and has re-found her love for fighting. “Britain Hart. She’s a professional boxer. She’s confident…This is not boxing, it’s not MMA. It’s bare-knuckle fighting…She thinks she’s going to go out there and play her boxer’s game but everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”
Heralded as the “Queen of Bare Knuckle,” Rawlings faces American Britain Hart as her next challenger.
Hart comes from a pure boxing background. According to BoxRec, Hart holds a 2-3 record in boxing with both of her victories coming by way of KO.
Hart spoke to MMA Fighting on Thursday about the opportunity; “I want people to know my name. I want people to know why I’m there. I’m following my dream. This is where I’m meant to be. I wasn’t pushed here I was pulled here. I’m here to do what I set out to do. Bec Rawlings made a statement that evil always wins. I’m here to show if evil always wins– it doesn’t work that way. The lights gonna be here. She calls me Team Angel. There definitely going to see fire come down.”
