This Saturday’s history-making Bare Knuckle FC 1 event feature an exciting women’s 125-pound contest between MMA veteran Bec Rawlings and professional boxer Alma Garcia.
The historical pay-per-view event titled “Bare Knuckle FC 1: The Beginning” will mark the first legal, regulated, and sanctioned bare knuckle boxing event in the United States since the year 1889. Held under the control of the Wyoming Combative Sports Commission, headed by Chairman Bryan Pedersen, the 12 bout card will feature only established professional fighters, who have competed in boxing, MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. The organization expects to hold a total of three events this year, with nine planned for 2019.
Rawlings is a well-known established MMA fighter who has competed for the UFC and Invicta FC, earning herself victories over the likes of Seo Hee Ham and Lisa Ellis. She notably challenged for the Invicta FC strawweight title back in 2013.
Garcia is a professional boxer who has won two of her last three, one of which was a devastating knockout against Tania Cosme.
‘Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 1: The Beginning’ takes place on June 2 from the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. The event will be aired live on pay-per-view from 9pm EST (see below).
